The short version
- A parent signs up. Children never need an email address.
- We keep only what the lessons need: a child's first name or nickname, a picture they choose, their class, their answers and their progress.
- We show no ads and we never sell or rent data.
- A parent can see everything and delete the whole family at any time in My Family.
Who we are
FFKidz is a homeschool learning website for children from Nursery to Grade 5. To contact us, reply to any email FFKidz has sent you.
What we keep about parents
- Your email address, so you can sign in with a link. There are no passwords.
- Your name and time zone if you add them, so emails greet you and "today" means your today.
- When you gave consent and which version of this policy you agreed to.
- Subscription requests and the access our team records after you pay outside the website, with the contract or receipt number.
What we keep about children
- A first name or nickname, the picture they pick, their class, and an optional 4 number PIN (stored in a scrambled form we cannot read).
- Their answers to lesson questions, how long each took, and their progress in each skill.
- We never ask for a child's email, last name, birthday, photo, voice or location.
Why we keep it
- To run the lessons, remember progress on any device, and pick the next task.
- To show you, and a teacher you work with, how your child is doing and which answers were wrong.
- To send sign in links, a weekly progress email and a reminder before access ends.
Who can see it
- You, in My Family.
- A teacher, only for children the FFKidz team has added to that teacher's class.
- The FFKidz team, to help you and to record access. Every change we make to access is logged.
- Services that run the website for us: Cloudflare (hosting and database) and Resend (sending email). They process data only to provide their service.
Parental consent (COPPA)
Before a child is added, the parent signs in through a link sent to their own email, ticks the consent box, and receives a confirmation email. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your family in My Family or by replying to any FFKidz email.
Your choices
- See every answer and all progress in My Family.
- Change or remove a child, or delete the whole family. Deleting removes the parent account, children, answers, progress and access records.
- Ask us any question by replying to an FFKidz email.
How long we keep it
We keep family data while the account is open. Deleted families are removed right away. Sign in links stop working after 15 minutes. Photos or audio from future projects will be deleted after 90 days.
Cookies
We use one cookie to keep you signed in and one small cookie that only says you are signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will email parents and ask for consent again when the change affects children's data.
